Touring and Camping

A variety of touring pitches is available for motorhomes, caravans, RV’s & trailer tents, on all hard-standing, hard-standing with grass or serviced pitches, all with 16 amp hook-ups. Most pitches are separated by hedges, large caravans, motorhomes or 5th wheel trailers more than 9 metres long will need to check availability by telephone. BBQs are permitted subject to T’s & C’s. Camping is available on all-grass pitches with or without 16 amp hook ups within the main pitching area with an underfloor heated shower building segregated by sex or in the Shires area on the western hillside with a central heated unisex toilet building or on more isolated wild camping pitches several 100 metres from the toilet buildings without power. BBQs are permitted subject to T’s & C’s. Trailer tents may be pitched on the hard-standing or all-grass pitches. In high season (ONLY) camping is available on the Camping Meadow with or without power, with BBQs & fire pits, subject to T’s & C’s. Vehicles do not have access to the Camping meadow, equipment being carried down using the wheelbarrows and trolleys provided, so this area is not suitable for trailer tents.

Lodge Rental

A variety of two and three bedroom lodges are available for rent including three bedroom accessible lodges with ramps, hoists, shower-proof wheelchairs, profiling beds graded M1/M2 accessible, as well as a two bedroom lodge with electric hot tub. All lodges are built to a residential standard with gas central-heating, comprehensively equipped kitchens, flat screen TV’s, linen & towels included. Dogs are permitted subject to T’s & C’s.

Glamping

Add some adventure to your camping holiday in the snug simplicity of a Peak District Yurt or Peak District Pod surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Peak District National Park.

Pods: Camping pods are tent shaped, insulated timber huts with light, heaters and 16 amp power outlet and have proved to be comfortable during even the coldest weather! They are the ideal replacement for your tent, particularly in the winter:- Camping Pods are already set up and ready to go when you arrive, completely weather proof so you're no longer having to deal with muddy ground sheets and wet fabrics. Pods are lockable and, being built from solid timber, are much more secure.

Timber Yurts: Our timber Yurts sited at Rivendale are wooden hexagonal or octagonal Yurts and, like the Camping Pods are ideal in cold and wet weather. The timber Yurts are available in 3 sizes, but all include some form of wood-burning stove or range, with power, lighting and an electric heater as a backup. The medium and large timber Yurts have bunk beds with mattresses, and in some cases double divan beds with linen. There is the possibility of fitting your own double camp bed or air bed between the bunk beds or hiring our folding beds.

Canvas Yurts: A traditional wood-burning stove supplied with well-seasoned timber inside the Canvas Yurts provides warmth and somewhere to cook and boil a kettle with near full head-room throughout.
